Brrrr...

It is so terribly cold here in South Western Ontario, Canada today.  It is -26 C with the windchill.

It is so cold that when you start the car it even groans!

I am so thankful for the heat in my car and in my home.  I am blessed to know that with the ravage of this cold, I can seek shelter in my home and with my family.  Keeping warm and feeling loved.  Missing my girl that is in the UK at Uni is bittersweet.  She makes us proud with her studies and working so hard to accomplish so much and thankful she isn't enduring these frigid temps but just enjoying a helping of fresh fallen snow which actually is like a blanket of the warmth of home.

Friends, I have been busy crocheting and haven't taken the moment to take a pic but I will soon.

Keep warm everyone both here and across the pond!

Blessings xx

Being Still...

Hello Everyone,

I can't believe it is already 12 days into 2013. It has been good so far. I have been into a new crochet project and will reveal once I get it looking somewhat presentable.

I have been trying to take time to be still this year. This world we live in is just so fast paced with every means of communication. You can't have a moment to breathe.

So for this year, I have made the decision to take time out to be still. Whether sitting or laying down, I have been just closing my eyes and letting my mind go blank if only for a minute or so (until the dog barks or the doorbell rings - haha).

Then I get back into my crocheting and watching my shows I love to watch. But that moment of stillness lets me have a moment to clear my head and take a breath. Its an attempt anyway.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2013

Hoping it will be year of blessings for you all!

Over the holidays I decided that I needed to make our pup a sweater of sorts.
Here in Canada the snow is staying on the ground and she gets quite chilled out there to do her business.

So here is Phoebe with her newly finished sweater.  It is a bit big for her but she is our old girl who is thin.
I found the pattern here from the My Savannah Cottage blog.

Next project I think will be both geared to Valentine's Day.  Which I am not a big fan of and think its a marketing ploy to gain sales.  I know, where is the romantic in me?  At any rate there may be some puffed hearts being made shortly.  Then I have a new pattern I came across on Ravelry to make a bunny pillow.  Stay tuned...

Again, tons of blessings to you all for 2013
